Grant Weekes Architect

Grant Weekes Architect is a company that has its roots in Christchurch, NZ. The company has tremendous exposure, skill and experience of working with many clients in the region. The staffs are dedicated to providing excellent designs and are always researching to come up with innovative ideas to fascinate our clients.

Practice Statement:

Grant Weekes Architect seeks to produce an architectural solution that reflects the clients requirements - a combination of their physical needs matched to the restrictions of the site, location and financial factors. This is carried out in a sympathetic and well executed manner.

Grant Weekes Architect approaches every project knowing that each family or business is different and each company culture unique. We seek to facilitate the expression of a company's personality (brand) through the collaborative process, so that the physical environment is an articulation of its culture.

Ultimately, the way things "look" is the result of collaboration between client, design team, project teams and users. The way things "work" is a result of the assimilation process, not derived from an arbitrary idea of how things should "look".

  • We are a design based collaborative practice that values the input of others
  • We actively seek out opportunities to work with and learn from others
  • We are committed to design excellence; our primary interest is in facilitating innovative solutions
  • We are a forward looking practice
  • We care about keeping the practice strong and vigorous through renewal
  • We are good at solving difficult problems, we relish a challenge
  • We are good at budget conscious, high impact work
  • We recognise that the practice is a business and it has to be treated as such

We welcome feedback to monitor our performance.
